Finn

Chad & I always knew we wanted animals when we were first married; in fact, we decided early on that we'd love a Boston Terrier puppy.  But, as many of you know, renting doesn't usually make having animals a possibility.  So, after we bought our home, we decided to bring having a puppy back into discussion.  It took a little while (around two months) before we began seriously looking.  A week of checking KSL (a local classified) and even checking Southeastern Idaho's craigslist listings led to nothing but disappointment.  It was surprising to see that there were very few Boston's being sold, and those that were were VERY expensive!  However, we found an add from a sweet lady in Wyoming.  Countless texts later we ended up agreeing on meeting her in Logan after the Color for Tessa 5K to pick up a sweet little girl pup- Chad figured having another girl wouldn't matter since he was already outnumbered.  Well, when we met up with the owner, her children jumped out of their car with two pups: the girl we thought we were purchasing and a boy who suddenly wasn't taken any more.  All it took was one cuddle with this little boy, and Chad was hooked!  So, we brought home this little man, who we named Finn :)
Chloe was immediately in love, though Berkley wasn't convinced!  It took several days, nearly two weeks, for her to completely warm up to him.

What a sweet little boy!  Since it has been forever since I've posted, looking back it's hard to believe he was this small.  He has really grown a lot!  He adjusted very quickly to our home and life, which was beneficial in every way possible.  He only had a couple of bad nights (which weren't really bad compared to the horror stories I've heard regarding puppies going to new homes) and a few days with several accidents.  His personality fits in well with our family and the girls (especially the girls)!
It was evident early on that he was quite a baby; in fact, it hasn't ebbed with age!  He shivers when we take him out to go potty, he yelps when we put his leash on (this is improving, thankfully), he absolutely hates wind, rain & wet grass, and when we sit on the floor he always wants to be on your lap!
This picture captures his qualities well- Chad was attempting to fix a small leak in our sprinkler system when Finn climbed up into the small nook between Chad's legs!  He stayed there and was unwilling to move (and when we moved him, he would go straight back to that niche)!
We bought Finn a few toys before we got him (even though we thought at that point we were getting his sister).  These squeaker balls were the smallest ones we could find, and we were positive that he wouldn't be able to hold them in his mouth for quite a while (he was so small).  To my surprise, I caught him doing that very thing a few days after getting him!

He really is a fantastic dog- loves children, playful, friendly, smart, loves to snuggle, & the list goes on...

Welcome to our family, Finn!
