Our family is forever...

Both are eternal beauties...
I am thankful that Chloe will be with me forever; I can't imagine this life or the next any other way.
My forever family! Families are forever; it is not just a thought or a feeling, it is true! I am thankful to know that, and I am eternally thankful to our Heavenly Father for the family he has given me :-) I love you all!!!

Salt Lake Temple

Chloe sitting in front of the fountain by the temple. Though it doesn't appear to be so at the moment this picture was taken, she was elated to be at the Temple. She kept saying, "Temple... by it!" As in, "We're going by the Temple!"
A beautiful statue of Christ- Chloe was so happy to see this! She said, "Jesus... big! Pretty." And then, right as we were leaving she said, "Bye bye Jesus," as if she'd just seen him yesterday. I've often wondered if she still holds memories of being with Christ as a Spirit child in Heaven before acquiring a body and coming to Earth as our daughter! I like to think so :-)

Breathtaking!
The temple and the reflection pond.

Tracy Aviary Take 3

Chloe is supposed to be excitedly showing off her new Cuckatoo, but instead she's frustrated by the camera! An interesting side note, she continues to call the bird a peacock!
A duck flapping it's wings
So cute! I love that he's standing on one leg :-)
A baby flamingo- yeah, I know, it's not pink! Crazy!!
Lots of "mingos"

Tracy Aviary Take 2

Head shot!
"This is my good side!"
Here's Chloe peeking around me at Daddy, who luckily had the camera for this cute shot! In this pic she's getting up close and personal with some of the birds at the Discover Argentina exhibit. She loved it!
A peacock and her babes...
This is how Chloe measures up with an Ostrich! It's a miracle we even got her to hold still enough to take a picture!

Tracy Aviary

We visited Tracy Aviary @ Liberty Park on our trip. It was really quite fun, and Chloe loved seeing all the birds. What she did not love the entire trip, with the expection of those taken in the hotel, was getting her picture taken.
Golden Eagles
I don't recall this bird's name, but holy cow was he weird...
... and this guy wasn't much better! Look very close and you can see where all the parts of his face are- he was really strange!
A duck through the trees

Salt Lake hatal,er hotel!

On our trip to SLC, we stayed in a SUPER nice hotel. We got a screaming deal on it for two reasons: 1) it was on a summer sale and 2) it just opened in July and had deals of its own to offer! Now, let me explain the title of the post. We told Chloe as soon as we arrived that we were staying in this hotel. She kept saying "hatal" and we'd really accentuate the "ho" sound, but she kept saying "hatal." It was really cute!
Oh, and this is a shot of our separate sitting area, where Chloe slept!
Does she look happy to be here or what?!
A view of the bed, which was semi-uncomfortable, but still sleep-able! We had a HUGE flat screen, which was fabulous, and DirecTV, which was even more fabulous since we sincerely miss our TV (we're stuck with the digital over the air channels only, something I promised myself as a child I would NEVER have again... It's really not as bad as I expected, Mom!)

First Hunting Trip Owies

Chloe had her first hunting trip, er night, last week, and this is all she had to show for it! While Chad went hiking, Chloe & I walked around on the road up the canyon. She was walking just fine until she decided to run (which, by the way, is her favorite pastime)! She totally ate it and scuffed up both knees and sliced her hand open. None of the wounds were serious, and she really didn't complain until we tried to clean them out when we got home!
