The last few weeks

My darling Chloe-- she's is growing up so fast!
Our gorgeous little babe! Does she look like Chad or what?!

I love her little outfit so much!
Love her full little lips. One things for sure, our girls have pretty mouths :-)
It sure is hard work being a baby
Chad has the same facial expression...
Hmm... I think Berkley is more than a little irritated at Chloe pushing her around! Haha! Hilarious!
Chubby little cheeks!
Wild child with WILD hair :-)

Silly sisters & a smirk

Our super silly girls
A smooch for her sis
Chloe thoroughly enjoyed giving her this kiss, but Berkley's face shows otherwise :-)

A smirk :-) She gives the BIGGEST smiles, I promise! However, she nevers gives them to me quite so big when I bring out the camera. Someday...

Attempted-- This is the first bottle we attempted. Berkley was eager to take it, but the flow was just too fast. We'll keep trying, but I think we're pretty successful to have her willing to take almost 2 oz her first time.

Oh the joys!

Having two little girls is awesome; it's fun, but we also have some "interesting" experiences that are oh so "joyful!" ;-) I hope you enjoy this video of how a play session between Chloe & Berkley plays out!

Chloe's Ride

Sisters at play

So not wanting me to take her picture!!
Happy babe
There's that gorgeous smile!
A very shadow-ey itty bitty smile :-)
Super silly face
Too cute! I took Berkley in for a follow-up weight check to ensure that our feeding change was not prohibiting normal weight gain. I'm happy to report that she's still gaining well. She gained 11 ounces in 11 days-- she weighs in at 11lbs 10oz! I guess she pretty much is our chunky little monkey :-)

Berk-berk

Here's little Berkley in her bouncer. She loves to just lay, stretch, and wiggle! I know I've said this before, and I'll likely say it again, but everytime I look at her I see more and more of Chad. No wonder she's so cute!!

Berkley in action

I finally decided to break out the video camera and tape Berkley just hanging out. This is obviously for those of you who follow the blog who have not yet met Berkley, but I probably should've done this earlier since many of you will be meeting her in about 2 weeks! We are so excited to come back home for a visit! Can't wait for everyone to meet Berkley :-)

More beautiful than words

Our two girls are more beautiful than words! Though they are very different in ways that are obvious and not, we love them both so very much. Being a parent of two little ones is not easy, but experiencing and capturing moments like this makes it all worth it! Chloe loves Berkley so much, and Berkley loves Chloe, too. Every time Chloe is near, Berkley makes eye contact with her. Chloe has made Berkley smile several times, and trust me, it melts my heart! I love these two so much, and I wish that I could give them my all ALL of the time. I've been having a hard time finding myself as a parent of two. I can't quite be the type of parent I want to be to two, but I'm trying to find myself somewhere in between so that all three of us can be happy and well!
I just wanted to show off her cute little outfit! I LOVE the little leggings, but she's just like Chad and, consequently, Chloe-- LONG torso, and SHORT legs :-)

Daddy's cupcakes

Before Berkley was born on one of our many trips to Salt Lake we bought Chloe & Berkley these cute little shirts. Little did we know that Chloe would be so in love with her cupcake shirt and that Berkley would fit into this 3 month top at 1 month! Nevertheless, Chloe has been patiently waiting for the day when they BOTH could wear their cupcake shirts together! I love this photo: based on their bellies, it looks like maybe they both need to lay off the cupcakes ;-)
Chloe giving Berkley smooches!

Chloe is such a goof! This picture captures Chloe's love for her little sis! She is constantly wanting to hold and love her, and Berkley never fails to crack Chloe up! I can't wait to watch their friendship grow as Berkley gets bigger and is more able to interact with Chloe!!

Berkley's Blessing

This expression explains precisely how Berkley felt throughout her ENTIRE blessing day, which happened to be the 4th of July! As soon as we got her dressed Sunday morning she was sort of grumpy! Her little dress was so cute, and for those of you who don't remember, it was the same dress Chloe wore for her blessing. It's a good thing that Berkley wasn't any older than she was because Chad could barely do up the bottom buttons on the back. She is quite chunkier than Chloe was, but both of them looked so adorable in this little dress :-)
What a cutie! Love her big blues :-)
I'm not sure what she was looking at, but it obviously wasn't me or Chad!
After the blessing we had all of Chad's family over to eat (everyone contributed to the meal-- thanks so much!). Christine wanted a picture of all of the grandkids (minus Amanda & Erika by ONE day-- darn it!). Holy cow, there sure are a lot of little and a few not so little ones :-)
Our friends' (Kenny & Melanie) little girl, Taya after lunch!

Our unfortunate attempt!

Sitting pretty :-) So, our master plan was to take pictures of the girls in their little 4th of July outfits on Saturday (despite the fact that their outfits would only be blue & white because I couldn't find anything with red in it that I was in love with). Well, Chloe came down with a fever late Friday night and was feeling sort of down Saturday. Nevertheless, she wanted to wear her new outfit, so we dressed both of them up! The two of them successfully "ruined" our opportunity within one hour: Berkley pooped all over her little skirt and Chloe gagged on the Tylenol we gave her & puked it up on her top! Eww! Anyway, we did snap a few of Berkley with different bottoms...
What chubby cheeks!
She has such a strong little neck! Chloe was exactly the same :-)
Is that a little smirk?! Berkley has been working on smiles, and she does give me some almost every time after she's done eating! We can't wait to capture her big, sweet smile one of these days :-)

Bouncer

After we came to the conclusion that Berkley most definitely would be awake during almost every supper, we took some of the money we received from family & friends for Berkley and bought a bouncer. She LOVES it! She kicks and has a happy/excited face when she's sitting in it. It has positively been a good investment :-)

It's almost as if the star rattle is perplexing her... Too cute :-)
