A Berkley Funny

Ok, so I realize that Berkley is still pretty little, but she just recently came up with a funny thing that she does.  It is often that she toots, and I always ask her if she did, but she denies it and blames it on someone else!  The other day it went down like this:

Berkley toots...
Me: Toot!
Berkley: Yeah, toot!
Me: Did you toot?
Berkley, shaking her head: No, Daddy.

Love this silly little girl :)

A couple of notes about Chloe...

Oh Chloe, we love her so much, and she tends to come up with some very silly things!

For instance, we were in the car the other day headed to Logan, and I was listening to a Glee cd.  Rachel, one of the main characters in the show, has quite a few solo and harmony parts, and when she started singing that song that goes "What is God was one of us?," Chloe said, "Mommy, is that you singing?"  What a cute compliment!

And then, another time we were in the car, "Just a Kiss" by Lady Antebellem was playing on the radio.  I happen to really like that song, and I have it downloaded on my iPod, so we do listen to it quite regularly.  But, I looked back just in time to see Chloe mouthing the words of the chorus!  It was so sweet :)  She's a girl after her own mother's heart- I can remember being in Kindergarten singing to songs on the radio in the backseat of my parents' cars.  How fun!!

Another Chloeism for you all:
While playing with Barbies here at Mom & Dad's...
Chloe: Mommy, we don't have any Grandpa Barbies.
Me: No, we don't.  What do you think they would look like?
Chloe: They would have really big heads and fat bellies!
CLASSIC!

December Randomness

December has been a crazy, crazy month, filled with so many fun times.  Here is a glimpse of some of our pre-Christmas December fun!

Berkley being a cheese!  She has really come to love playing with Play-Doh, and she's even stopped eating it after immediately opening a container :)
Chloe made a "Mikey Mouse" snow man and wanted to show everyone!
The week of Christmas we took the girls bowling.  Here is Chloe pushing the ball (with Chad's help, of course).
This is Berk's reaction to her first bowl.  Hilarious and cute all at the same time!!
Watching intently to see how many pins she knocked down...
Chloe was happy to be bowling, well, at least the first half of the game anyways!
Neither one of us can really remember what she had eaten to make her mouth this blue, but it is pretty funny nonetheless!  Chad seems to think it was a marker, but I'm thinking it might have been something else.  Either way, she was BLUE!
Check out that silly face!!  Love this little stinker!
Dr. Chloe examining her patient, Berkley.  It looks like she was getting a shot here.  And don't you love the tissue paper?  She insisted that we lay that down because "... that is what Dr. McKenna has in the rooms for kids to lay on."
And a check up of her mouth!  This was so funny to watch!!

Barbie Powerwheels Jeep

Mom & Dad and Gram & Grandpa got the girls a Barbie Jeep for Christmas.  They got it a couple of weeks before Christmas, though, because we knew we'd be leaving the day after Christmas and wanted them to actually be able to enjoy it before we left.  They were both so excited!  Chloe likes being the passenger and Berkley definitely loves driving more than her big sis.  We moved our kitchen table to the side so that they could drive around, and it was hilarious!  Chloe was a constant start, stop, while Berk was pedal to the wall (literally).  We have some videos of the girls' driving, but I forgot to upload it, so we will post it a bit later!

Berkley was beyond excited!  She found the radio buttons right away, pushed them, and danced back and forth with her tongue hanging out for literally five minutes :)
I love this picture because it shows how excited both of them were, especially Berk!

I took this shot while they were driving.  It might be a little difficult to see her face with the sun, but she was squealing.  You can also see that Chloe was laughing.  This is going to be SO much fun for them!!
Thanks Mom, Dad, Gram & Grandpa- this will keep them busy and silly for hours :)

Zoo Lights

After hearing so many good things about Hogle Zoo's annual Zoo Lights, we decided to take the girls to see them!  The girls really enjoyed it, even though it was cold, and we had fun, too.

Chloe's first dance recital!

Chloe waiting for their "I Have Learned a Ballet Dance" dance.  So sweet :)

Here she is doing an Arabesque.  If you notice she is now behind this little girl.  Well, she more or less got kicked out of her spot because this little girl insisted that it was her spot!  Chloe took it well and simply switched her spots, but we were irritated because we had chosen the perfect spot to take pictures and videos!!  Oh well, at least it only lasted for one of the three dances...
The girls practiced some drills (i.e., attention, about face, right face).  It was cute, but most of the Minis were called out quickly!
The girls getting in their places for the "Strawberry Shake" dance!
And this is what Chloe did for the majority of the dance: picked her nose!!!  She will hate these pictures when she is a teenager :)  It was hilarious to watch her picking for gold, though!!
 Shaking it up!
This is from the "Deck the Halls" dance.
Yes, it is true, somehow between the mom that got her dressed, all the people backstage, the dancers, and myself, Chloe went out without her black leggings!  I was really embarrassed at first, but realized that she really knew that dance and looked cute anyways!  After the dance recital was over I asked her why she didn't put her leggings on, and she hadn't even realized she hadn't worn them :)  Here she is raising the roof!
Angela incorporated moves from their first two dances into this one- here is the strawberry shake move!

At the end of the dance the girls were supposed to put their hands under their chins, well Chloe really just smushed her face!  We asked her if she was mad, and she said, "No, I just wanted to smush up my face."
The dancing Taylor family girls :-)
What a beautiful dancer!!

Snow Day

In late November you had our one and only good snow day thus far!  So, we made the most of it the day after :)
Berkley and Chad going down for the first time!
She thought this was SO much fun.
We asked Berkley who she wanted to go sledding with, and she said, "Co-ee!"  So, they rode down together!  Love their faces... classic :)
Berkley did so well going down that we decided to let her try going alone.  She also enjoyed this!
 Haha!  Hilarious!!
After we spent quite a long time over at the school, we came home and let the girls play outside.  Here is Chloe making a snow angel!
Berkley was mostly over playing in the snow when we got home, so she stood on the porch, watched Chloe, and eventually began to fuss about wanting her mittens off!  All in all, we had fun sledding and playing in the snow.  Now if we could only get another snow day to play...

November Randomness

November brought about a lot of randomness.  It was basically a crazy month!
Chloe loves to create with Magic Nuddles, but we don't play with them often because Berkley, for some reason, always wants to eat them.  Anyway, she decided during on of Berkley's naps to make a temple.  It was tall, and you can see it's steeple.  We cut some of them down to make people inside.  She had so much fun, but we didn't really have a great place to keep something so tall, therefore we took a picture of it to remember her creation!
Berkley LOVES (and when I say LOVES I mean LOVES) babies.  She takes them everywhere and does all sorts of things with them.  Her favorite baby related activity is taking them into our bed with various other items (such as the book, blanket, and carrier shown here).  She enjoys reading to her babies, and that is precisely what she is doing here!  So sweet :)
Lately Chloe & Berk have loved playing in Berk's crib.  What cute girls we have!!
These chicas really like pudding.  We decided to make some for a snack, and this is Berkley's result :)
And here is the result of Chloe's pudding consumption, please note the chocolate mustache!
Yes, Chloe is wearing her suit in the tub.  Why?  Well, the girls wanted to try out a new tub friendly paint recipe I found on Pinterest (don't get me started on this site- I LOVE, Love, love it!), so I told her she could wear her suit for fun!
Even Berkley wanted to try it out!  It worked really well, plus it is easy & cheap.  They both love painting, so this is a fun new option!
