a family on the run

The entire Taylor family (us included...obviously) has been "on the run" this summer.  Yes, yes, we've all been very busy, but some of the members (haha, you know I'm not talking about myself- me+long distance running = hilarious and never happening) have been literally running!  These people certainly love running, and so, when there weren't any inexpensive races to run in June, they decided to have a family fun run at our house!

The kids all "ran" a mile first, and then the participating adults ran a 5K.  We had lunch (burgers & hotdogs on the grill with salads, chips, and yummy treats), the kiddos played in the water, and we all have a terrific visit!  It was so much fun- let's do it again sometime guys!!

When I said the kids "ran" the mile, this is precisely what I meant: Wyatt rode his bike and  was the first to cross the finish line (hahaha)!

He was certainly happy with his performance :)

Finn enjoyed watching all the kids and playing in the Povey's horses' area (naughty little pup- if you think this is bad, just wait until my post about Chad being at the Widowmaker... it gets much, much WORSE)!

Wyatt came screaming around the side of our house in the Barbie Jeep and onto the road to see where his brothers and cousins were at and Finn thought it'd be good to chase after him!

Wyatt ditched the Barbie Jeep and let Chloe & Halle come back in it, so I suppose this is him finishing for a second time :)

I was shocked when Chloe said she wanted to run!  But, she did, well, sort of!  I think she and Halle turned around about half way, and I think they were both happy to have Wyatt bring them the Barbie Jeep for an easy finish!!

Mel, Colby & Hannah (oh, and Grace, too) took a bit of a detour and came back a completely different way!

 The kids played before & after lunch, and they had so much fun!  I only got a couple of decent shots, and I missed out on the funniest one: Halle put her suit on backwards... too funny!  You'll have to check out Brian & Wendi's blog to see those pictures once they are posted :)

I am so happy that Chloe chose a yellow and white swimming suit and then got the crazy idea to crawl beneath the  trampoline to get a long lost golf ball!
